William W. Wells Sr.
William Wayne Wells, Sr., 79, died Thursday, March 25, 2021 at the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.
He was born April 19, 1941 in Newcomerstown to Wayne and Harvella (Houston) Wells.
Bill was employed at the former Shaw Barton/JII Co. in Coshocton and was a carpenter. He was a member of the Coshocton Nazarene Church and a former member of the Warsaw Emergency Squad.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, William W. Wells, Jr. of Walhonding and Jeffrey D. Wells of Glenmont. Granchildren, Emily Rager, Luke Wells, Ashley Barnette, & Dakota McCartney Wells. A great grandchild, Landon Wells. Three sisters, Ruth Steffe and Becky Wells of Newark. Mabeth Penrod of Milwaukee, WI. Four brothers, Robert Wells, of Chillicothe, Richard Wells of Newark, Mark Wells of Kankakee, IL and Harvey Wells of Dalton, TX.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vickie C. (Lint) Wells, whom he married Oct. 6, 1962, she died July 11, 2020. He was also preceded in death by his father, Wayne Wells, a daughter, Jennifer Dawn Wells, and brothers, David & Chuck Wells.
Funeral services for Bill will be held Monday, March 29, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Coshocton Nazarene Church 1058 Orange St Coshocton, OH 43812 with Pastor Steve Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Darling Run Cemetery at Warsaw. Visitation is Sunday, March 28, 2021 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw and one hour prior to the service at the church. www.fischerfuneralhome. Due to Covid-19 capacity is reduced and face coverings are required at the funeral home and church.
