Vote on COTC 50th anniversary ice cream flavor
Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) and Velvet® Ice Cream are collaborating on a delightfully sweet venture to celebrate the college’s upcoming 50th anniversary. And they need your help. All members of the public, COTC alumni, current students, and college faculty and staff are invited to help choose a new limited-release Velvet Ice Cream flavor that will be produced exclusively for COTC’s anniversary. The winning flavor will be announced in July as a kickoff to the college’s year-long anniversary celebration. The ice cream will be available at college anniversary events throughout the anniversary year. A limited release for public purchase is being considered.
Choose from three new, delectable Velvet Ice Cream proposed flavors:
Blueberry Bliss – sweet blueberry ice cream with pieces of rich chocolate fudge.
Berry Rumble – a fruity blend of strawberry, blueberry and blackberry ice cream.
Twisted Mint Cupcake – cool blue mint-flavored ice cream with white chocolate chips and rich chocolate cake pieces.
Vote for your favorite flavor online at go.cotc.edu/icecreamvote until Thursday, April 15.
“I cannot think of a better partner than Velvet to help COTC create a memorable, one-of-a-kind experience for COTC’s 50th anniversary,” said COTC President John M. Berry, PhD. “We are thrilled to collaborate with this tremendous locally owned and community-oriented business.”
“We pride ourselves in supporting local organizations and COTC is one of the best central Ohio has to offer,” said Velvet Ice Cream President Luconda Dager.” We could not have jumped onto the opportunity faster when Dr. Berry reached out to partner up. We are honored to help recognize 50 years of COTC’s commitment to education and hope this celebratory new flavor will be a hit among their students, staff and alumni!”
Beginning in July, COTC will celebrate 50 years as an innovative leader in accessible, affordable, high-quality education. COTC is the only technical college in Ohio operating four full-service campus locations: Newark, Coshocton, Knox and Pataskala.
