COSHOCTON – Cindy Abood is celebrating 50 years of actively working as a nurse. The last 16 of those were at the Maternal & Child Health Center where she recently retired as the prenatal clinic nurse manager.

“It was just time to be free and spend time with family,” Abood said. “I still plan to volunteer at the Hope Clinic though and keep my license up.”

While she is looking forward to spending more time with her grandkids, she will miss the people she worked with.

“These people are amazing,” Abood said. “They are a good group to work with and work toward the same goals for kids, moms and residents of Coshocton County. Doctor Prior is a dream to work with and everyone here is so supportive.”

Her advice to her replacement Denise Thompson is to go with the flow. “This is a good place to learn,” Abood said.

The Maternal & Child Health Center is located at 724 S. Seventh St. inside the county services building. For more information, call 740-622-2999.
