Accident with injuries reported

COSHOCTON – On March 7, at 7:36 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a 911 call in reference to an accident with injuries on South 2nd St. near Cashland. Upon arrival of deputies, it was determined that a 69-year-old male, Grady Martin, was in a wheelchair when he attempted to cross the street without any reflective clothing. As Martin was crossing the road, a vehicle being operated by 43-year-old Jeremy Roahrig, was traveling south on S. 2nd St. and struck Martin.  After initial treatment at the scene, Martin was transported the Coshocton Regional Medical Center, and was later transported to Grant Medical Center in Columbus. Assisting deputies at the scene were Coshocton County EMS and the Coshocton City Fire Department. Assisting at CRMC was a MedFlight crew and Tri-County EMS. This accident remains under investigation by your Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
