Accident with injuries reported
COSHOCTON – On Aug. 26, at 3:24 p.m., the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to an accident with injuries on U S Route 36 near Twp Rd 105. Upon arrival of emergency personnel, it was discovered that Johnny G. Muth, 52 years old and Veronica A. Muth, 50 years old, from Uhrichsville, Ohio was operating a 2004 Honda motorcycle, when they struck a deceased deer on the left side of the road. The driver was able to maintain balance of the motorcycle as it drove through a portion of the median. Due to the impact of striking the deer, the female passenger was ejected from the motorcycle. The female passenger was responsive and alert at the scene. She was treated by Coshocton County EMS and was flown from the scene by Medflight to Akron General Hospital. The male driver sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
Assisting at the scene was Coshocton County EMS, West Lafayette Fire Department, Medflight, Newcomerstown Police Department and NERS. This incident remains under investigation by your Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
