Alice ‘Betty’ Howell

Alice “Betty” Howell, 87, of Fresno passed away Friday, October 15, 2021 at her home.  She was born in Coshocton, Ohio on September 23, 1934 to the late Ralph and Mona (West) Henry.

Betty was a 1952 graduate of Roscoe High School and was a member of the Coshocton Christian Tabernacle Church and TOPS 506. She had previously worked for Sanitary Meat Market and Royce Craft Baskets.

Betty is survived by her children Judy (Silas) Markel of Coshocton and Rodney Howell of Mineral City, OH; grandchildren Nikki (Aaron) Crabtree, Brooke (Bruce) Potts, Cody Howell, and Darsey Howell; Great grandchildren Cruz and Allie Potts, Colton and Cayson Crabtree, Mason and Nova Howell; brothers John Henry and Joe Henry both of Coshocton; two nieces and one nephew.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald D. Howell, who passed away June 23, 2006; infant son, Bart Allen Howell; siblings Mildred (Klines) Brillhart, Jim (Kate) Henry, Leo (Beverly) Henry, Herb (Sharon) Henry, Dorothy (Don) Shroyer, Donna (Jim) Roberts, and Wanda (Pete) Mellor.

Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 11:00am – 1:00pm with funeral services beginning at 1:00pm with Pastor David Phillips and Pastor Dave Helser officiating.  Burial will follow at Canal Lewisville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed towards the Gideons International, P.O. Box 97251 Washington, DC 20090-7251; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
