Amber Kathleen Cichon passed away Monday October 7th, 2024 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Amber was born August 15, 1979 in Coshocton, Ohio. She was a 1997 graduate of Ridgewood High School and graduated from Central Ohio Technical College in 2001. Amber worked the last twenty-three years as a registered nurse in numerous locations, including several in Columbus. Most recently, she was employed at Miracle City Hospice in Cleveland.

Amber loved her career in health care, socializing with family and friends, being a mother, and spending time with her special kitty friend, Daphne. Amber was an irresistible force in all areas of her life. She was fiercely loyal to her family, friends and ideals. Her quick wit, wry sense of humor, occasionally colorful vocabulary and kind heart were always a joy to be around. Though Amber could project a tough exterior, she was a compassionate person who loved children, animals, and tending to the patients under her care. Her proudest achievement was being a mother to her son, Anthony, a senior at the Coshocton County Career Center and Coshocton High School.

Amber was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents. She is survived by her father Mark Lowe, mother Leslie Rios, step-father Jim Rios, son Anthony Cichon, significant other Marc Lopez and his daughter Maia, brother Eric (Paula) Lowe , step grandparents Jesse and Judy Rios, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and many special friends and co-workers from throughout her life.

Calling hours will be held at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton, OH 43812 on Saturday October 26, 2024 from 11:00am – 1:00pm with funeral services beginning at 1:00pm with Father Tom Gardner officiating. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Amber’s name to the American Heart Association or your local animal shelter.
