ASHLAND – For the fourth time in 2015-16, Ashland University Women’s Basketball player Andi Daugherty has earned the GLIAC South Division Player of the Week award.

In home wins against Findlay and Wayne State last week, Daugherty posted 40 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal while going 16-for-24 (66.7 percent) from the field and 7-of-8 (87.5 percent) from the free-throw line.

“She had two great games, really complete games,” said Coach Fralick. “I think that’s what you always notice with Andi, her rebounding, her scoring, assists, and what doesn’t show is her defense, because that’s beyond the boxscore.”

Heading into the final three games of the regular season, Daugherty is fourth in the GLIAC in points per game (16.0) and fifth in field-goal percentage (53.4).

Daugherty has been named GLIAC South Division Player of the Week six times in less than two full seasons.
