Ann France

Ann France was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 21, 1926 to Margaret and Clarence “Monte” Cutler. On June 23, 1962 she married Rollin C France in East Cleveland, Ohio. She died December 26, 2023 in Mooresville, North Carolina.

Ann was a mother to Lucy (Jeff) Scott, Grandmother to Ryan Scott of Virginia and David Scott of North Carolina. She was a sister to Jean (Ralph) Henty deceased and Carol deceased (Bill) Bartlett. She was a stepmother to Dennis (Terry) France, Cheryl Hudson, Diane (John) Dolan deceased and Richard (Kathy) France, also a step grandmother to 10 and great grandmother to 12 and great great grandmother to 3.

She graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1948 with Bachelor of Arts and Science in Education. She earned a Master’s degree at Case Western Reserve in Elementary Education in 1961.  Also, was a member of Alpha Phi. She was employed as art teacher in the Amherst and Shaker Heights school district in Ohio for 15 years.

Rollin and Ann lived in Coshocton County for 47 years, 17 years served on the staff of Roscoe Village. She became member of the Presbyterian Church since 1967, she also served as president of the Coshocton Art Guild and was the founder of the Herb Society, taught nursery school, was a girl scout leader, member of the Silver Bar Saddle Club, and officer in the Genealogy Society.

For the last 10 years Ann lived in Mooresville, NC. Where she taught art, knitted for charity and played bridge.

The calling hours for Ann will be on January 13th, 2023 from 10:00 -11:00am at the Presbyterian Church with service beginning at 11am in the Chaple. Burial will follow at the Coshocton County Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers please donate to a charity of the donor’s choice.
