Anna M. Donaker

ZANESVILLE- Anna Mary (Albertson) Donaker, 86, formerly of Warsaw, died Friday, April 6, 2018 at The Oaks at Bethesda.

She was born Nov. 21, 1931 in Bethlehem Twp. to the late Virgil J. and Ethel Marguerite (Huprich) Albertson. She was a graduate of Union High School and the Ohio State University. She married Elden R. Donaker on Aug. 17, 1949, who preceded her in death on Nov. 3, 2014.

She taught school in the River View School District  for 19 Years, was a member of Perry Chapel Baptist Church, DAR, CCEA, OEA (retired), NEA (retired), the Coshocton Co. Genealogical Society, Union High School Alumni, and The Ohio State Alumni Association.

Anna and Elden enjoyed camping and traveling to all 50 US States and all Canadian Provinces except for New Foundland. They also enjoyed spending winters in Florida. She enjoyed attending grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s activities and sporting events, reading, crocheting, knitting, cross-stitch, quilting, and watching The Ohio State Buckeyes.

She is survived by three sons, Earl (Nancy) Donaker of Coshocton, Alan (Janette) Donaker of Walhonding, and James (Amy) Donaker of Newark; one daughter, Margaret (John) Allison of Killbuck; two grandsons, Eli (Darlene) Donaker of Newark, and Benjamin (Maggie) Donaker of Sarasota, FL; eight granddaughters, Brandi (Jerry) Lewis of Dresden, Michelle (Jason) Beitzel of Coshocton, Jennifer (Heath) Wolfe of Killbuck, Jamie (Don) Sours of Killbuck, Jodi (Josh) Martin of Nashville, Ashley Donaker of Newark, Jennifer (Eric) Harmon of Galloway, and Kellyn Donaker of Walhonding; one sister, Sally Kanuckel of Killbuck; one step-sister, Polly (Ron) McCann of Coshocton; two brothers-in-law, Harold (Wanda) Donaker of Frazeysburg, and Don Jackson of Columbus; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Venona Jackson; a sister-in-law, Wanda J. Donaker; a brother-in-law, Lee Kanuckel; a daughter-in-law, Kimberly Donaker; and a niece, Sarah Kanuckel.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2018 at Perry Chapel Baptist Church, 19476 TR 380 Warsaw, OH 43844, with Pastor David Fowls officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery. Calling hours are from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
