Anthony Joseph Cognion

COSHOCTON – Anthony Joseph Cognion, age 79 of Coshocton, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Signature Health Care. He was born July 26, 1938 in Coshocton to the late Ambrose and Marie (Scott) Cognion. He worked at Edmont Manufacturing in maintenance. He enjoyed working on cars and tractors where he would tear engines apart and rebuild them.

He is survived by his children, Anthony Joseph Cognion Jr. of Columbus, Pamela Cognion of Coshocton, Kevin Cognion of Coshocton, Glen Cognion of West Lafayette and Shelley Cognion of Coshocton; grandchildren, Tessa and Bryant; great-grandchildren, Howlin and Briley; siblings, Francis (Linda) Cognion, James (Jane) Cognion, Mary Jane (Louie) Thomas, Tony (Diane) Cognion and Loretta (Ronnie) Moore.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Rosette Moran and Bertha Woods.

Calling hours will be held at the Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home on Monday, May 21, 2018 from 12pm to 2pm. The funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 2pm with Pastor Mark Granger officiating. Burial will follow at the Coshocton County Memory Gardens.
