Tony Cox Picyure for PaperAnthony S. “Tony” Cox, 48, of Conesville, passed away at Union Hospital on Monday August 5, 2013.

Tony was born in Coshocton on May 3, 1965, the son of the late Victor L. and Evelyn E. (Davis) Cox.

He graduated from Coshocton High School in 1984, had worked at The Longaberger Company for twenty eight years and had just begun working at Oxford Mining Company two years ago as a heavy equipment operator.

Tony was a member of the Coshocton Moose Lodge and enjoyed spending time with his family, going to the dirt track races and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

He is survived by his devoted wife Charlene R. (Wright) Cox whom he married August 10, 1991; two loving daughters Amber J. and Makenzie R. Cox both of Conesville; a sister Vonda (Denver) Gamertsfelder of Millersburg; brother Victor E. (Janie) Cox of Coshocton; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in law.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Jerry V. Cox.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Funeral services for Tony will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Joel Mason officiating. Interment will follow in Coshocton County Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Conesville Volunteer Fire Department and/or the American Heart Association.
