Ara L. Flack

OCALA, FL- Ara Louise Flack, 93, of 42nd Place, died Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Munroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala.

She was born Aug. 6, 1920 in Coshocton Co. to the late Robert A. and Edna (Cullison) Burch.  She married W. Ralph Flack, who preceded her in death.  She was a 60 year resident of Howard, where she was a member of the Howard Christian Church and their Willing Workers.  She was a long-time member of the Howard Garden Club.  She enjoyed making a home, gardening, and traveling the United States.

She is survived by a daughter, Tana Casey, a granddaughter, Shannon Casey, and a grandson, John Casey all of Ocala, FL, a sister, Elsie Spurgeon of Mt. Vernon, two brothers; James G. Burch of Chicago, IL, and Darrell E. Burch of Anaheim, CA, two sisters-in-law, Joan Burch of Fredericktown, and Clita Burch of Newark, and several nieces & nephews throughout Ohio, Alaska, Illinois, South Carolina, Missouri, and California.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two infant children, a sister, Esther (James) Rutledge, two brothers; Clarence & Calvin Burch, a son-in-law, John J. Casey, a sister-in-law, Anna Burch, and a brother-in-law, Paul Spurgeon.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville with Pastor Dave Spaulding officiating.  Burial will follow in Workman Cemetery.  Calling hours are from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.   www.fischerfuneralhome.com
