Arrea Mae Prater

COSHOCTON – Arrea Mae Prater, 87, of Coshocton went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday June 23, 2018.

Arrea was born in Coshocton County, Ohio on April 11, 1931 to the late Ray and Pearl (Keefer) Touvell.

She was a homemaker throughout her life, enjoying cooking, cleaning, embroidery and taking care of her family. She was a member of the Coshocton Church of the Nazarene and attended Birds Run Open Door Fellowship. Arrea and her late husband Arnel spent many years visiting nursing homes to have Bible Study for the residents.

Arrea is survived by her son Rodney (Sandra) Ridenbaugh of Plainfield; two daughters Melody (Bill) Maple of West Lafayette and Tracy (Craig) Williams of Chattanooga, TN; four grandchildren Jesse (Ginger) Maple, Lonnie (Danielle) Ridenbaugh, William (Jennifer) Maple and Natalie Ridenbaugh; step granddaughter Jodi (Bobby) Guthrie; numerous great and great great grandchildren; one sister Mary Edgar of Bonita Springs, FL; several nieces and nephews; special friend and caregivers Goldie Beitzel of West Lafayette and Jodi Guthrie of Clark.  Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Arnel Prater whom she married April 20, 1957, Arnel passed away on May 10, 2014 and one sister Juanita Crenshaw.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Tuesday June 26, 2018 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Patrick Peebles officiating.  Interment will follow in Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette.  Memorial contributions may be directed to Coshocton Church of the Nazarene, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
