Arthur R. Bowman

WEST LAFAYETTE- Arthur Reinard “Art” Bowman, 74, of Rose Lane, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2015 at Coshocton Co. Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 5, 1940 in Wooster to the late Harley and Naomi (Long) Bowman.  He was a lifetime member of the North American Hunting Club, former Sexton of Valley View Cemetery in Warsaw, a charter member of the Warsaw E.M.S., and a volunteer with the Warsaw / Walhonding Valley Fire District for over 35 years.  He was a heavy equipment operator, retiring from Ansell-Edmont in 1999, and then from Kimble Clay & Limestone in 2005.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, loved spending time with his grandsons, and his two special dogs, “Angula” & “Ginger”.

He is survived by two children; Brent (Tracy) Bowman of Warsaw, and Amy (Earl) Ridgley of Frazeysburg, three grandsons; Nathan & Hunter Bowman, and Gage Ridgley, his fiancé, Rebecca Richardson of West Lafayette, and her two children, Jason West of the home and Amy Richardson of Milledgeville, eight siblings; Kenneth (Ruth) Bowman of Polk, Dean (Betty) Bowman of Apple Creek, Harley Glen (Clarice) Bowman of Missouri, Bobby (Madge) Bowman of Shreve, Larry Bowman of Wooster,  Patricia Fiscus, Eloise Bowman, David (Dorothy) Bowman, and Dale Bowman, all of Wooster, and his former wife of 31 years, Grace Bowman of Warsaw.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings; Paul Bowman, June Chewing, Marcella Smith, and Ruth Butterbaugh.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Ron Davis officiating. Entombment will follow in Coshocton Co. Memory Gardens.  Visitation is two hours prior to service time at the funeral home.  www.fischerfuneralhome.com
