Barbara J. Emerson
Barbara Jean Emerson, 80, died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022 at her residence.
She was born April 3, 1942 in Coshocton to the late Samuel and Marjorie (Clark) Wise. She was a wonderful homemaker and loved to cook and bake for family and friends. Spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was the most important thing to her and she loved them all so much. She was a member of the Warsaw Nazarene Church.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Emerson of Warsaw; children, Richard Emerson Jr. of Newark, Teresa (Brad) Corbett of Westerville; grandchildren, Lindsey (Joe) Gutman, Cassandra (DJ) Smith, and Noah & Emma Corbett; great-grandchildren, Ian & Logan Gutman, and Lincoln & Sullivan Smith; a sister, Pat (Jim) Howell of Pataskala; a brother, Larry (Marjorie) Wise of Coshocton; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Carrie Emerson; and her father-in-law & mother-in-Law, Maro & Gwendolyn Emerson.
Visitation begins at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9, 2022 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Faith Taylor officiating. Burial will take place in Valley View Cemetery. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
