Betty J. Milligan
Betty J. Milligan, age 94, of Coshocton, Ohio passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023 at the Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville, Ohio.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 28, 2023 at the Free Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Granger officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery in Coshocton. Friends may call 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at the funeral home.
Betty was born April 28, 1929 in Coshocton, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Henry M. and Clara L. (Webb) Smith. She enjoyed cooking and had many cookbooks that she collected. She worked 28 years at the Coshocton County Memorial Hospital as a nurses’ assistant. She retired in June of 1996.
She married Carl Wolheter January 17, 1951 who preceded her in death April 28, 1958. She later married Raymond Milligan who is also deceased.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Booth of Coshocton and Marjorie (Jerry) Webb of Canton, Ohio; three sons, Larry D. (Joy) Wohlheter of Cambridge, Ohio, Rodney E. Wohlheter of Coshocton and Dennis W. (Peggy) Wohlheter of Coshocton; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and two husbands, she is preceded in death by two sons, Brett W. Milligan and Mark J. Milligan; two brothers, William J. Smith and James H. Smith; one sister, E. Marie Waybel; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
