It’s time once again for the 17th annual Big Coshocton Cleanup on Saturday morning April 17.
Groups and individuals are invited to meet Saturday morning at the gazebo on the court square at 8:30 a.m. to register and acquire their assigned area. The first 50 participants will receive a free t-shirt provided by Coshocton Recycling. Kyle Libby Insurance is providing bottled water and breakfast snacks at the court square.
Partnering with the City of Coshocton, the Boy Scouts, Kimble’s trash pick-up, Coshocton Litter and Recycling, and Kyle Libby State Farm Insurance volunteers all came together for “a day of caring,” said Lyn Mizer executive director for United Way. “April is near Earth Day. Roll up your sleeves and volunteer your time. Families, friends, neighbors, co-workers, civic groups, anyone can volunteer.”
The city provides bright orange bags for trash that that are easily visible for the trash pick-up crew. The adults cleaning up old 16 and Morgan Run wear bright orange visibility jackets so they can be seen in these high traffic areas.
The Boy Scouts will be collecting old appliances and furniture near the fairgrounds Alder Street entrance. Kimble will provide a dumpster there as well for larger trash items.
