Black Bears make soccer history

The River View Boys Soccer team reached a milestone last night as they defeated the Tri-Valley Scotties once again 4-0, making history with the 400th career win for the boys program. In addition to that achievement the boys will also advance to take on the Steubenville Big Red in the district championship on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 6:30 p.m. at Cambridge’s McFarland Stadium at their old high school.

Leading the way for the Bears was senior Camden Albertson with two goals, junior Cael Summers with one goal and assist, and junior Hayden Walters with one goal off an assist from junior Micah Hardesty. The defense also played lights out in the shutout victory led by junior Laired Williamson, senior Colin Addy, sophomore Chase Wright, junior Remington Graham and sophomore Carter Knicely. Sophomore Layton Massie added one save and freshman Blaze Klein added two saves for the combined shutout.
