Blaine Sapp PictureBlaine L. Sapp, 78, of Columbus, formerly of Athens passed away at Mt. Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville, Ohio on Saturday June 27, 2015. Blaine was born in Athens, Ohio on July 28, 1936, the son of the late Leo and Elma (King) Sapp. He graduated from Linden-McKinley High School and Columbus State Community College. He worked in construction throughout most of his life as a finish carpenter. Blaine and his loving wife Martha also attended the New Albany 1st Church of the Nazarene. He was an expert marksman and was active in the N.R.A., A.T.A and O.G.C.A. Blaine is survived by his wife Martha J. (Leidig) Sapp; two daughters Pam (Jim) McCormick of West Jefferson, Ohio and Diana Sapp of Chauncy, Ohio; one grandson Kyle McCormick of West Jefferson; two brothers Jerry (Sue) Sapp of Newark and Danny (Elaine) Sapp of Columbus. A graveside funeral service will be held in Coshocton County Memory Gardens on Wednesday July 1, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Larry McNut and Pastor Kelvin Freeman officiating.
