Board of Realtors announces home ownership seminar
COSHOCTON – Have you been considering home ownership but thought that it was out of reach? Or maybe you just don’t know where to start or who you can trust?
If this sounds like you, plan on attending a free seminar on home ownership at the Coshocton Village Inn & Suites on Tuesday, March 29 from noon to 1 p.m. or 6 to 7 p.m.
“We have our open house month coming up in May so we felt this was a good opportunity to help a segment of our community that are renters and convert them to home owners, which in turn helps them and our community as a whole,” said Jim Nelson, president of the Coshocton County Board of Realtors.
Several recognized members of the Coshocton community are ready to answer your questions and provide more information to help you on a path to possible home ownership.
“Realtors will not be participating at the event,” Nelson said. “We want this to be between the participants and their prospective financial institution.”
Participants will hear from people who were renters and then became homeowners and be able to visit with representatives from the following financial institutions: Peoples Bank, Century National Bank, The Home Loan Savings Bank, Farm Credit Mid-America, Concorde Mortgage and The American Eagle Mortgage Co., LLC.
“They will be able to make appointments with them to further discuss their finances in private,” Nelson said.
The event is sponsored by the Coshocton County Board of Realtors, State Farm Kyle Libby, Fisher Decorating Center, Auer ACE Hardware, Coshocton Lumber, The Republic Covic Connection Company, Buehler’s, Jeff Drennen Dealerships of Coshocton and Zanesville, WTNS, Coshocton Tribune Media, and The Coshocton County Beacon.
Refreshments will be provided at both sessions of the seminar and a few lucky attendees will win gift baskets.
