Bounce N Around opens indoor inflatable park at Kids America
COSHOCTON – There is a brand new opportunity for children in Coshocton thanks to Bounce N Around.
The inflatable rental business opened an indoor park at Kids America that features several obstacle courses, games and bounce areas for children.
“We started our outdoor rental business in May 2017, but since we live in Ohio our rental season is limited with the weather,” said Susan Jackson from Bounce N Around. “We wanted to be more accessible to people.”
The indoor inflatable park is set up in the space at Kids America previously occupied by Miss Jennifer’s Dance Studio.
“There will also be six inflatables in here, but they may be different at times,” Jackson said. “We want to see what people like and don’t like.”
Two of the inflatables will be reserved for toddlers only and no one over the age of four or 30 inches tall will be allowed in them. The minimum height requirement for the others in 36 inches.
“Safety and fun are our two main things,” Jackson said. “Everything will be sanitized three to four times a day.”
They are state licensed and insured.
“We pay to have these inspected and monitored every year,” Jackson said. “There will be attendants with whistles making sure everyone is following the safety rules.”
Safety rules will be posted in the facility and a waiver must be signed by an adult prior to letting a child enjoy the facility. Waivers can be signed at Bounce N Around or downloaded online at www.bouncenaround17.com. There also is a safety video that must be watched online or at the indoor park before enjoying the inflatables.
“We’ve done a lot of homework and research,” Jackson said. “We want people to have fun, but we also want them to know there are rules.”
Open bounce hours are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. There will be a concession stand, with a limited menu, and a lobby area. Bounce N Around also has a variety of options for parties, gift certificates and loyalty cards.
Admission for open bounce will be $7 for children 5 and older, $5 for children 2-4-years-old, and children under the age of 2 are free with another child admission. The facility’s focus will be on ages 2 to 10, but during open bounce hours no one over the age of 15 will be allowed on the inflatables. Parents are not permitted to bounce with their children. Shoes will not be allowed and socks must be worn. Anyone who forgets socks will be able to purchase a pair for $1. Food will not be allowed in the area where the inflatables are.
“We’d love to offer this year round,” Jackson said. “We are going to feel it out and see what works.”
