BPW announces theme for cake auction
COSHOCTON – Please join Coshocton Business and Professional Women on Saturday, Sept. 23, at 2 p.m. for their 12th Annual Cake Auction.
Create a cake resembling anything to do with a jungle or safari. It could be an animal, an insect, an amphibian, a plant or tree…just have fun with it. Please include an incentive or goodies that will entice bidders to want to buy your cake. Use your creativity for your cake or cupcake creation this year and let your imagination run wild.
BPW found a new home for their cake auction for the second year in a row at the Frontier Power Community Room, located at 770 S. Second St. Cakes can be dropped off on Friday, Sept. 22, from 5 to 7 p.m. and on Saturday, Sept. 23, from 9 a.m. until noon. Cake viewing and voting is from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Coshocton BPW provides scholarships to those individuals attending a higher education institute through the Joan McNeely Working Women’s Scholarship Fund. In May 2017 BPW was able to give out three $1,000 scholarships. BPW continues to have their cake auction fundraiser each year in order to raise money for their scholarship program and to help various projects within Coshocton County.
The benefit for businesses within Coshocton County to participate in this BPW fundraiser is the exposure it gives a business through the media showing support for working women. If participating in the cake auction that day isn’t feasible, businesses have the option of being a corporate sponsor for the BPW cake auction. There are three levels of sponsorship:
