BPW to host annual summer picnic

COSHOCTON – Coshocton Business and Professional Women (BPW) is inviting the community to their annual summer picnic which will be Monday, Aug. 20 at 6 p.m. at the Music Depot, former American Legion building, on Main Street in West Lafayette.

The local will provide the meat dish and members will bring a covered dish. Guests do not need to bring a dish.

Members are asked to bring items or monetary donations for First Step.

Calendar and committee lists will be distributed. The 13th Annual Cake Auction will be discussed. It will be Sept. 22 at the Frontier Power Community Room. The theme will be “Everything Under the Sea…”, plus a kid category will be added this year.  The fundraiser supports the Joan McNeely Working Woman Scholarship, Dollars for Scholars, Buckeye Girls State, First Step, and Salvation Army Christmas Castle, just to name a few.

BPW, founded in 1919, promotes equity for all women in the workplace through advocacy, education and information. Membership is open to men and women, employed or unemployed, who support the legislative platform.
