| February 8, 2018

COSHOCTON – During the elementary school bus route on Thursday, Feb. 8, a problem with the bus heater’s motor resulted in an odor and a light amount of smoke. The bus driver immediately stopped the bus; 23 students were evacuated and transported to the elementary school in time for the start of the school day. There were no reported injuries. The fire department responded but no action was needed. The bus was able to be driven back to the bus garage. District personnel are contacting the parents of those students involved. The quick response and actions of the bus driver, bus aide, and students that kept everyone safe this morning is greatly appreciated.
