Cake auction approaching

| July 22, 2014

COSHOCTON – The Coshocton Business and Professional Women will hold its annual cake auction at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, at the Civic Center on Main Street.

BPW has a goal to help promote all working women in the area. As an organization, it supports: Dollars for Scholars, the Christmas Castle Project, Operation Sweatsuit, First Step, Buckeye Girls State and 4-H Leadership Camp. BPW also provides scholarships to those individuals attending a higher education institute through the Joan McNeely Working Women’s Scholarship Fund. It also gave a total of $4,750 in increased gifts to the community over the last year. The group would like to provide more funds for these projects and be able to facilitate the growth of its organization. This can be accomplished with the generous help of community members who participate in the annual cake auction.

Reservation forms are due by Friday, Aug. 1. All you have to do to take part is provide a cake to be auctioned off with your name on it plus any other incentive that you feel will make your cake enticing for people to bid on at the auction. Be sure your cake is properly covered with clear plastic and is able to be viewed by the public. For information, e-mail coshoctonbpw@gmail.com or call Kim at 502-2154, Doris at 622-7988, or Emily at 502-7903.
