COSHOCTON – Highly regarded and much appreciated by the community, it was no surprise that the Pomerene Center for the Arts approached Myrtle Beall about a retirement show. She instead suggested a showcase featuring the collective works of her former students, a desire she had long-held and one that speaks to her supportive nature.

If you had the pleasure of being one of her students, at Coshocton High School from 1984 to 2018, please consider submitting work to this show. To be eligible, you must have taken a high school class with Beall and your work was made in the last 10 years. Examples of acceptable work: Paintings, drawings, sculpture, mixed media, photography, crafts, glass, jewelry, ceramics and woodworking. If you have questions regarding other types of art, please ask.

Registration deadline is Monday, April 15. Art drop off is Saturday, April 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Monday, April 22, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. or by appointment. Mail in deadline is Monday, April 22. Art pick up will be Saturday, June 15, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or by appointment before Sunday, June 23. Address your questions to: office@pomerenearts.org, 740-622-0326, text 740-229-4519 or ask on Facebook @Art of Beallism.

The opening party for this show will be held on Saturday, April 27 at 6:30 p.m. The exhibit will close on Friday, June 14 after Jazz on the Lawn.
