Car show and concert planned for July 16
On Saturday, July 16 the Three Rivers Fire District will host its annual car show on Main Street in Coshocton’s historic downtown. Registration begins at noon and goes until 5 p.m. Registration fee is $10.
Future Leaders 4-H Club will have a food stand, or you can eat at one of the local restaurants. Stores will be open to shop and the farmers market will be there in the morning.
Fire Chief Lynn Powelson said, “We moved our car show to Main Street with the anticipation of people coming and eating at local restaurants on Main Street or the Future Leaders 4-H stand. Local businesses sponsor a trophy, and they can award their trophy on the day of the show to their vehicle of choice. They award whoever’s vehicle they think is the best. The trophies for Sponsors Choice Awards will be at 4:45 p.m.”
It will be a fun day to check out older and classics cars and trucks and enjoy food, music and door prizes. Come and enjoy a day out socializing, having fun and supporting your local fire department.
There will be a free concert by Fleetwood Mac Mania on the Main Street stage hosted by Our Town Coshocton after the car show. Andi Ellis board member for Our Town said, “We are thrilled to receive money to put on the summer concert series and to be able to pair the second concert series with the car show is fantastic. The car show is very established. It has been going on for a number of years and it is very well attended. We hope that this concert will draw people for them as well and they can stay around, eat downtown and enjoy the atmosphere. We’re excited and hope for another successful event.”
Powelson added, “We appreciate the support not only from the people bringing their vehicles to our car show but also the local businesses who sponsored a trophy.”
