Carolyn Sue Foster

Carolyn Sue Foster, age 76, of Conesville, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023. She was born on June 4, 1947, in Coshocton to the late Harold and Waunita (Deeds) Cognion.

Carolyn attended West Lafayette High School and worked for Edmont, Clows and Annin Flag Company before retiring. On July 29, 1984, she married Russ Foster who survives.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church; enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling, going to the beach, her dog, Norma Jean, and most importantly to her, spending time with her loving grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

Along with her husband Russ of 39 years, Carolyn is survived by her three daughters, Brenda (Tim) Kopp of West Lafayette, Shelly Blakely of Coshocton and Billie Jo Humrichouser of Holmes County; five grandchildren, Amanda (Ryan) Matchak, Sumer Kopp, Alicia (Spencer) Ansley, Ashley (Clay) Andrews, and Justin Humrichouser; two great-grandchildren, Emma and Ellie and one on the way; sister, Marilyn Wilson, sister-in-laws, Edna Deeds and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Tyler Humrichouser, brothers, Howard Cognion, Fred Deeds and infant brother Hubert Deeds; sister-in-law, Carol Deeds and brother-in-law, Kenneth Wilson.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at 11:00 am with Father Thomas Gardner officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.

The family would like to thank everyone at Genesis Hospital and Morrison Hospice House for their kindness, friendship and loving care of Carolyn.
