Cash Mobs to start up again

| September 4, 2013

COSHOCTON – The Coshocton County Chamber of Commerce would like to announce the upcoming Coshocton Cash Mob. The very first Cash Mob of the season will be Monday, Sept. 9, at the Front Porch Country Store. Meet at 4 p.m. outside the store.

Cash mobs encourage members of a community to make a change and help support a local business. Mobbers typically spend $10-20 at the business being mobbed, which creates an immediate economic stimulus. The term “cash mob” comes from the same concept of a “flash mob.” Just as flash mobs call together a group of people to meet for a short period of time, so do cash mobs.

Not only are cash mobs helping local businesses achieve financial success, they are creating everlasting customers and uniting people of the community. Our local businesses are so important to our community and this is an easy way to get involved to shop locally. Make sure to come and participate in this grass root event.

A cash mob is a new trend in which people use social media to plan organized events, providing a way to join together and support local businesses. For information, visit Facebook and look up Coshocton Cash Mob or call the Chamber at 622-5411.
