The seventh through 12th grade students from Coshocton Christian School went to Skyview Ranch in Millersburg, for their nine-week incentive day. At the end of each nine weeks, the staff plan one day of fun activities for the day. The staff had decided that we wanted the students to have a ministry minded incentive day where they could help a local ministry, but also have a good time of fellowship together.
Dana Leach, the school librarian at CCS, was one of the staff on the planning committee for the day.
She said, “I believe that here at CCS, we have the privilege to spread the light and Word of Christ throughout our school days. So, when the opportunity to reach out presented itself, I was over the moon. We as Christians are called to outreach and fellowship and what better way than to partner with Skyview Ranch.”
Skyview is a Christian camp for teens that offers sound Biblical teaching and a fun place to fellowship and grow in grace.
Leach said, “In reaching out to the director of Skyview and creating this outreach work day with our junior high and senior high students, I believe that all were blessed. I believe that this is the building blocks to long lasting ministry outreach that provides our students here at CCS with the opportunity to service. My prayer throughout this outreach opportunity is that the Lord would open our students’ eyes and hearts to the needs in our own communities close to home. We need to understand that God calls us to go and spread the Word and that can start right here at CCS through community outreach projects like the one at Skyview Ranch.”
Skyview’s Administrative Director, Josh Witry said, “I was happy and impressed with how much work was done, and we were really impressed with the students. ‘Fantastic’ is how one of the staff described the students.”
