Chamber online auction offers items for everyone
More than 150 items will be up for auction during the annual Coshocton County Chamber of Commerce Online Auction. Bidding starts at 9 a.m. Friday, March 13 and continues until noon on Saturday, March 21.
“We have a lot of gift cards, which is great because people love those,” said Amy Crown, executive director of the chamber of commerce.
In addition to the gift cards there also are gift baskets, gift bundles and a variety of items for everyone. Bigger items up for grabs include a foosball table, air hockey table and tools.
Donation for the auction come from members of the community and the 300 plus organizations that belong to the chamber. They are gathered up by Crown, office assistant Debbie Ford, and an auction committee that includes Jandi Adams, Clary Gardens; Jackie Dickerson, McWane Ductile; Delia Meek, Coshocton Regional Medical Center; Sherri Gibson, Ohio Means Jobs; Angie Williams, City of Coshocton; Nicole Maynard, HER Realtors; and Melissa Rodgers, HER Realtors.
The monetary goal for the auction is $12,000 and that money is put into the chamber’s marketing fund.
“We use that to market our members all year long,” Crown said.

“It’s a new auction site so be sure to read the terms and conditions of the auction,” Crown said. “Without Peddicord-Rice we couldn’t do an online chamber auction.”
Peddicord-Rice Auction Realty, LTD also is a platinum sponsor of the auction along with Coshocton Regional Medical Center and the Coshocton County Beacon. Gold sponsors are MFM Building Products Corporation. Silver sponsors are Wiley Companies, Genesis Healthcare Systems, and Community Hospice. Friends of the Chamber sponsor is Jones Zylon.
Pick up day for all auction items will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, March 23, at the chamber office, located inside the COTC Coshocton Campus. All items must be picked up on that day unless other arrangements are made. Cash or check will be accepted.
“The auction is a fun way to participate in helping out your community and you get something out of it,” Crown said. “It also is a great way for businesses to get information out about themselves. People all over Ohio will be able to see the auction.”
