Charles (Chuck) Edison Quillen
Charles (Chuck) Edison Quillen, 68, of Coshocton, Ohio entered into the church triumphant on March 17, 2025.
Chuck was born on July 13, 1956, in Harlan, KY to the late James and Janina (Hall) Quillen. He was preceded in death by his stepmom who helped to raise him from about the age of eight, Peggy Quillen and stepbrother Ralph Hall.
Chuck served in the United States Navy for 10 years from 1980-1990. While in the Navy Chuck enjoyed traveling the world and seeing new cultures. After leaving the Navy he lived in New Hampshire and North Carolina for a period of time. After meeting and marrying Deb he moved to Ohio and began a new career as a nurse’s aide, working in nursing homes and doing home healthcare. He retired in 2020 leaving him time to enjoy his hobby of ham radio operating, KD8SON. Chuck enjoyed many years as a member of various Lion’s Clubs. He followed his wife to churches in Canton, Barnesville/Batesville, Creston, East Fairfield and finally to Coshocton serving in ministry in various ways.
He is survived by his “favorite” wife, Rev. Deborah (Beaver) Quillen whom he married on July 13, 2001. He is also survived by his daughter Angela Quillen, two granddaughters Sydney and Cheyanne Sanders; sister Linda (Gary) York; brother Danny (Melissa) Quillen; step siblings Jerry (Renee) Hall, LaDonna (Johnny) North, Janie Hensley-White; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday, March 24th at 12:00 noon at Murray Funeral Home, 173 S. Main St. Creston, Ohio, where friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 1:15 p.m.
