Charles E. “Charlie” Shriver

TitleCCharles Shriver Pictureharles E. “Charlie” Shriver, 82, of Coshocton passed away at Autumn Extended Care Facility on Thursday January 31, 2013. 

Charlie was born to the late Everett and Clara (Walters) Shriver in Coshocton on September 11, 1930. 

He graduated from Keene High School and served in US Navy from 1948-1952. Charlie was the owner operator of Shriver Tire Service in Coshocton for over 50 years, a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Coshocton Moose Lodge and enjoyed fishing and bowling. 

He is survived by his wife Helen J. (Hall) Shriver; two sons Keith (Kerry) Shriver of Fresno and Kenneth Shriver of Coshocton; a brother Vernon (Irene) Shriver of KY; grandson Kurt Shriver of Coshocton; stepgrandchildren Terra (Jeff) Grewell of Keene, John Richard of Zanesville and James Richard of Coshocton; step great grandchildren Lily Jean and Dominic Grewell. 

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Sunday February 3, 2013 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Funeral services for Charlie will be at the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Craig Redecker officiating.  Interment will follow in Coshocton County Memorial Gardens with Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard performing military honors.
