On Thursday evening, Oct. 12, the Coshocton Redskins volleyball team invited Tri-Valley into the Wigwam for their last home match of the 2023 season. In an intense and well-played match, the Redskins fell to Tri-Valley by the scores of 25-21, 18-25, 23-25, 23-25.
For the Redskins, Kenidi Jackson led the offense with nine kills and also had nine digs and two service aces. Leah Mathias added eight kills and Lacey Guthrie pounded seven. Jaeli Tiedt dug up nine Tri-Valley attacks and Saige Abbott added seven. Tiedt was the leader from the end line as she served up six aces.
Tri Valley swept the night as they took a pair of preliminary matches in straight sets. In the first sub-varsity match the scores were 25-16, 25-18. In the JV contest, the scores were 25-20, 25-14. Mallorie Stamper had eight kills to lead the JV ‘Skins. Phoenix Celeschi served up three aces.
The Redskins volleyball team starts the tournament trail on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 6 p.m. as they travel to Bellaire to take on the Big Red.
