CHS shares girls soccer awards
The Coshocton High School varsity girls soccer team held its end of season award banquet on Nov. 6.
The team’s overall record was 4-10-3 and its MVL record was 3-6 overall. They took second place in the MVL small school division.
Certificate of participation went to: Freshman – Lucy Baylor and Emme Jackson (one assist) and junior – Cady Jackson.
First year awards went to: Seniors – Hailey Helter (one goal, two assists); juniors – Maria Ramon-Sotil and Julia Cutrina Bach (one goal, four assists); and freshman – Mia Lauvray (two goals).
Second year awards were given to: Sophomores – Ashley Bryant, Brooklyn Nelson, Courtney Snyder (one assist, eight saves, 4.29 GPA), Addie Underwood (one goal, three assists), Gabriella Wesney (one goal, two assists), Sophia Skelton; and seniors – Ella Baylor (one goal).
Third year awards were: Juniors – Aerianna Braxton (three assists), Captain Anna Jansen (one assist), Captain Isabelle Lauvray (17 goals, three assists), and Cammy Wilson (three goals, one assist)
Four year awards went to: Seniors – Captain Myrakle Johnson (two goals, three assists) and Captain Destiny Frye (107 saves, 2.64 GPA, three shut outs
Team Awards were: Offensive MVP Isabelle Lauvray; Defensive MVP Sophia Skelton; Redskin Award Myrakle Johnson; Coaches Award Ella Baylor; and Sportsmanship Award Anna Jansen.
Special Coaches Team Awards: Most Improved Cammy Wilson; Comeback Player Addie Underwood; Rookie of the Year Hailey Helter; Versatility Award Aerianna Braxton.
School Records: Destiny Frye – Goalkeeper–Saves-Career – 641 and Kimmie Underwood – Coaching Victories – 95.

Team Academic Award – Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association (OSSCA): To be eligible the team GPA must be a 3.0 or higher and the 2022 Coshocton Girls Varsity Team GPA was 3.82.
Senior OSSCA Academic Award Winners: A senior must have a GPA of 3.7 or higher and be a senior varsity letterwinner – Hailey Helter, Ella Baylor, Destiny Frye and Myrakle Johnson.
Muskingum Valley League (MVL) Awards – Small School Division: First Team Isabelle Lauvray – forward; First Team Hailey Helter – defense; First Team Cammy Wilson – midfield/forward; Special Mention (second team) Sophia Skelton – defense; Special Mention (second team) Destiny Frye – goalkeeper.
Eastern All-District Awards: First Team Isabelle Lauvray – forward; Second Team Sophia Skelton- defender; Second Team Myrakle Johnson – midfield/defender; Honorable Mention Destiny Frye – goalkeeper; Honorable Mention Julia Cutrina Bach – midfield; and Honorable Mention Cammy Wilson – midfield/forward.
