CIB announces community pride recognition program
COSHOCTON – Think of it as “curb appeal.” That is what the Coshocton is Blooming Community Pride Recognition program is all about – making your home, street, or business a place that you can be proud of and others will enjoy as they drive by. The goal is to generate enthusiasm in our community by recognizing citizens and businesses for their efforts in maintaining and improving their properties. The focus is on cleanliness, lawn care, landscaping and floral displays.
Members of the law enforcement office and post office are very visible in our neighborhoods, and they will be nominating properties for recognition. Community minded people who see a property worthy recognition can also nominate properties; forms are available at the sheriff’s office and post office. Once the forms are filled out, they should be turned in to the post office or sheriff’s office.
The nominations will go to Coshocton City Council representative for the appropriate city ward in which the property is located. The council members will inspect the properties and recognize the occupants with a door hanger with an invitation to attend the next city council meeting for introduction and recognition. All persons who are recognized will be invited to a special recognition dinner to be held on the second Saturday in September.
Take the initiative to give your place some curb appeal and get your neighbors involved so we can “Plant Pride in Coshocton!”
