Home invasion suspects charged
COSHOCTON – On March 11, at approximately 3:48 p.m., the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to an active home invasion and deputies were quickly dispatched.
While officers were on their way to the residence in the 44000 block of CR 23, the armed suspects fled the home on foot. At that moment, a family member, coming to visit her great-niece, began to pull into the driveway. She immediately gave chase of the fleeing suspects. Within minutes the female carry concealed license holder, single handedly apprehended two of the four assailants and held them at gun point. She then marched them back to the scene where she handed them over to law enforcement.
Soon after the two suspects were apprehended by the female family member, a visiting great-grandfather, also there to see the young toddler, located the last two suspects, fleeing the area in a pickup truck. He was able to flag down a responding deputy, enabling officers to quickly apprehend the remaining two suspects.
On March 14, Zachary W. Donley, 19-years-old and from the West Lafayette area, Darren K. Dreher, 19-years-old and from the Coshocton area, Jonathan R. Lahna, 20-years-old and from the Newcomerstown area, and Blake R. Lee, 19-years-old and from the Coshocton area, were all charged with one count of aggravated burglary, a felony of the first degree.
This incident remains under investigation by the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office and Coshocton County Prosecutor’s Office.
