City council discusses upcoming projects
COSHOCTON – At the Sept. 23 Coshocton City Council meeting, Max Crown, safety service director, shared that paving is under way in the city.
“If the weather holds out we will hopefully have it all done by the 4th of October,” he said.
Later in the meeting, Sheriff Tim Rogers was asked about the multi-county pursuit of a semi cab driver that ended in our county.
“It was a nine-county pursuit,” Rogers said. “Every county will have a part in charges he faces.
Utilities Director Dave McVay said his department will be replacing a waterline on the west side of U.S. 36 that goes up to Whitewoman Street. The line was exposed some during road construction and they want to make sure a leak doesn’t occur there.
“We are expediting this project and hope to have it done before snow flies,” McVay said.
Council then passed ordinance 40-19, which authorizes the mayor or service director to enter into an agreement to extend the lease with the Coshocton Alternative School for the leasing of the former armory building gymnasium.
