Come celebrate small businesses
COSHOCTON – The New Year Small Business Kickoff Show will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 21, at Hopewell School.
“I know a lot of people have heard about some of these businesses, but they may not know all they have to offer,” said Jacob Bair, organizer of the event.
Browse items offered by many different vendors and crafters, shop and sample some of their products. More than 20 vendors have signed up so far including Tupperware, Scentsy, Perfectly Posh, LulaRue, Rusty Olde Crow, and many others.
“It’s wintertime, so there’s not too much to do in the cold,” said Bair. “We’re going to have food served, so we’re going to let people shop and have something to eat, maybe play some games, and raffle off some gift cards.”
Bair is hoping a church group or 4-H group will step forward and help pass out food the day of the event.
“We’re planning to do another one in March if this one goes well,” said Bair. “So we’re hoping it goes over well with a nice turn-out.”
