Come learn about art in Coshocton
Meet Me at the Museum will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 29 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum. Bring a lunch or enjoy some snacks on the museum as guests gather together and casually discuss a new topic each time they meet.
The next program will be all about art in Coshocton. Coshocton has a history of being an artist’s haven. Because of the advertising art industry that sprung up here, Coshocton at one time had more artists in residence than any other city in the U.S. save New York City. The Coshocton Art Guild, whose members’ work is on exhibit at the museum through Dec. 31, has had a recent revival. They now have a gallery/gift shop in Roscoe Village and are exploring different ways they can support local art and artists. They also have a long history in the community.
No registration is needed. This program is offered at no charge and made possible by the support of the Ohio Arts Council. The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum is located in Historic Roscoe Village at 300 N. Whitewoman St. in Coshocton. Museum hours are Tuesday – Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.
