Commissioners receive grant money for EMS building

The County Board of Commissioners announced they have been awarded $1,950,000 in grant funds from the Ohio Department of Development, Office of Community Development through the Target of Opportunity CARES Act Funding.

The county has been awarded a CARES Act grant totaling $1,950,000 to construct a new EMS building.  The project includes the construction of a new emergency medical services (EMS) station in the City of Coshocton.

The EMS building will have 6,200 square feet footprint to house a garage for EMS vehicles, equipment and living areas. The projected start date of the project is Summer 2022. Construction time will be one and a half to two years.
