Community invited to outdoor worship and lunch
COSHOCTON – The Coshocton community is invited to join four congregations for worship and lunch at Court Square, 10 a.m., Sunday, July 30. This is a fifth Sunday Faith and Fellowship day. In place of preaching, we will be sharing our faith in the fellowship of other believers of different denominations.
Following the previous day’s March for Jesus, the worship service will celebrate our love from God by sharing prayers and music. Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, First Baptist Church, The Upper Room Assembly & Worship Center and The Presbyterian Church will gather together as a sign of Christian unity: “One Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all” from Ephesians. During worship, small groups will give thanks for God who proclaims “You are precious in my sight… and I love you” from Isaiah 43. We will share examples of hope we see in our county, “and (God’s) hope does not disappoint us” from Romans 5. Finally we will call one another to action answering the question “What can our churches do better together than alone?”
Music will be provided by the Upper Room worship team. The free-will offering will go to support the Community Food Pantry of the Salvation Army. Nursery care will be provided outside. Chairs will be provided, but you may bring your own lawn chair if you prefer. Casual dress for our worship under the beauty of the trees at the Court Square. A hot dog lunch will be served following the service. The rain location will be Christian Tabernacle Church on Airport Road and be announced through WTNS if necessary. The invitation is open to anyone in our county.
