Community social held at Burt Park

USE MEWEST LAFAYETTE – Two-year-old Avery McCoy of West Lafayette enjoys some snacks at Burt Park during the first Saturday in the Park event on Saturday, April 30. The community social was sponsored by the Ridgewood High School STATS Club, Ridgewood Middle School STATS Club, and the Ridgewood Junior National Honor Society. The event raised funds for Coshocton County’s Relay for Life. There were activities for the whole family including games, face painting, and live music by Barefoot McCoy. “It started out with the kids wanting to do something different with the fundraiser and wanting to do something outside,” said Peggy Ball, advisor for the STATS Club. In the evening, there was dance music and a karaoke contest at the pavilion. BEACON PHOTO BY BETH SCOTT
