Cooper being held in reference to Feb. 1 incident

COSHOCTON – Coshocton County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched on Feb. 1 to the area of the 600 block of Locust Street in reference to someone shooting a firearm from a moving vehicle. A male subject was taken into custody and held in reference to the incident.

On Feb. 2, Kmarr M. Cooper, 21-years-old and from the Coshocton area, was initially charged with tampering with evidence, a felony of the third degree. Additional charges are anticipated following the outcome of the investigation.

The Coshocton County Prosecutor’s Office is assisting in the investigation.

This incident remains under investigation by the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
