Cooper charged with assault

On July 26, 2020 at approximately 3:08 a.m, the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from a female stating she was assaulted and needed help. Deputies, along with Coshocton County EMS were dispatched to 20787 County Road 124.

Once on scene, deputies secured the residence while EMS treated the female for her injuries. This female was transported to Coshocton Regional Medical Center and was later flown by Med Flight to a Columbus Hospital due to the severity of her injuries. An investigation began and led to the arrest of 26 year old Kmarr M. Cooper of Coshocton.

On July 27, 2020, Kmarr M. Cooper was formally charged with Felonious Assault, a Felony of the 2nd degree. The victim’s name will be released at a later time.

Assisting the Sheriff’s Office on scene were West Lafayette Police Department, Coshocton County EMS and Coshocton County Prosecutors Office.
