Corliss R. “Cork” Kaser
Corliss R. “Cork” Kaser, 79, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024 at Roscoe Gardens Health & Rehabilitation.
He was born May 17, 1945 in Warsaw to the late Russell Lewis and Thelma Rebecca (Leech) Kaser. He was a 1963 graduate of Warsaw High School, and served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War from 1965-1969 on the USS Forrestal.
Cork was a finish carpenter, working at times for Ralph Hampton, Don Daliere, and Artwood in Millersburg. During his time in the carpentry union, he helped construct the stacks at AEP Conesville. He also worked at the Eagles and Annin Flag in Coshocton.
He enjoyed playing softball, and going to dirt track races. Cork was a member of many local clubs & organizations, including the Coshocton Co. Joint Veterans Council Honor Guard. He attended Gospel Hill Ministry in Warsaw, and New Life Ministries in Coshocton. He was known by many for his sense of humor.
Cork is survived by his wife, Anita Kaser of Coshocton, whom he married Oct. 23, 2021; four children, Rusty (Lila) Kaser, Dustin Kaser (Danielle), and Lindsey Phillabaum, all of Coshocton, and Misty Kaser of Westerville; grandchildren, Noah Kaser, Lacey Lewis, Dreisa Kaser, Maddison, Greyson & Wrenley Phillabaum; a brother-in-law, Mike Burris of Coshocton; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Kasey Walker; two sisters, Karen Burris and Norma Jean Kaser; a brother, Keith Allen Kaser; and a son-in-law, John C. Phillabaum.
Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024 at Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with John & Sharon Kirch officiating. Military rites will be performed by the Coshocton Co. Joint Veterans Council Honor Guard. Visitation is from 1:30 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow at a later date in Valley View Cemetery. FischerFuneralHome.com
