Coshocton Christian School announces 2017-2018 staff and school updates

COSHOCTON – Coshocton Christian School is pleased to announce their 2017-2018 staff and updates to the school for the new year.

Miss Lauren Hickey in kindergarten, Mr. Gary Bennett in Jr./Sr. High science, and Mrs. Holly Bilyeu in Jr./ Sr. High English will join veteran teachers Mrs. Amanda Hamilton and Miss Jessica Hamilton (preschool), Mrs. Diana Riggs (1st grade), Mrs. Cindy Kraft (2nd-3rd grades), Mrs. Jessica Mitchell (4th-6th grade language arts & history), Mrs. Martha Bennett (4th-6th grade math & science), and Mr. John Shryock in Jr./Sr. High history. Mrs. Ellen Anderson continues as a preschool and elementary tutor. Coshocton Christian School is currently in the process of interviewing applicants for the Jr./Sr. High math position.

In addition to using the challenging A-Beka academic curriculum and offering a full cadre of sports programs through CCS or access to the local public school sports programs, Coshocton Christian School offers chapel and Bible class, physical education, music, art classes, library and bookmobile. Specials teachers include Miss Jessica Hamilton in physical education, Mrs. Hannah Shriver in music, Mrs. Raylene DeLuca in art, and Mrs. Michele Obarow in library.

School assessment test scores are above local and state averages, and CCS is pleased to offer college credit plus options for high school students and quality technology in classrooms including Smart Boards, laptops and IPads. In addition, the school offers financial aid, homeschool participation, bus transportation, a safe secure school environment, and representation to over 20 churches of all denominations in the community. The curriculum, chapel, and Bible classes all work together to help students develop a Christian worldview.
