Coshocton Christian Tabernacle hosting men’s conference

| February 17, 2022

On Saturday, March 5, the Sixth annual Men’s Conference will be held at the Coshocton Christian Tabernacle on Airport Road, across from Wal-Mart. The conference will be from 8 a.m. to noon with the theme “Do Not Give Up.”

“No pre-registration is required,” said Pastor Mike Jansen. “We just want you to come as you are.” He said the idea for a men’s conference started not long after he came to the church in 2016. “Stan Zurowski came to me and said he had an idea. We have a great facility to have events like this. About half a dozen local pastors get together and start planning it in September. We toss around ideas, then run with it when we decide on a theme.”

Jansen said that there are several gifted and knowledgeable speakers in Coshocton County so they decided to use those people instead of bringing in someone from out of town. This year, Pastor Dave Kraft will be presenting “Five Faith Factors for Men of God.”

There will be two speaking sessions and several break out, or small group, sessions. Various pastors will be leading the small group discussions. The conference usually has around 100 men attending.

“A men’s conference is so important because the role of men in society is steadily eroding. They have forgotten how to be men – how to be good husbands, fathers, employees. The divorce rate is about 50% and I’m convinced that 95% of the problems in school could be solved if children had a positive male role model in their lives. This conference will be a good reminder and encouragement on how to be a good husband and father. Men need to get their priorities straight and listen,” said Jansen.

The conference is open to all men, regardless of where they go to church or if they don’t attend church. All are welcome.
