Coshocton Community Cruise-in planned for July 3

| June 30, 2021

“We had so much fun last year that we decided to do it again,” said Robert Leist who is organizing the Coshocton Community Cruise-in.

Take a trip back to the old days, cruising Main Street for a family friendly event from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 3 before the fireworks. “This will be a rebound from last year where we were driving up and down honking and waving at each other,” Leist said. .”We want to be a little bigger this year. We have always been a part of the car culture. Cars will be on Fourth Street from Chestnut to Main Street which will be blocked for the car show. There is a $10 entry fee for the car show with registration beginning at 5 p.m. All registration money will be donated to the Blue Star Mothers Coshocton OH59. Because of COVID they were not able to have their annual fundraiser.”

A magic and animal show by Blathmac sponsored by Jaylob Braxton from the Downtown Warehouse is being planned as well as vendors, food and more on the court square.

“We have live entertainment planned in the gazebo from 5:30-7:30 p.m. featuring  Roscoe Transit Authority with Bill Givens, Steve Shaw and Larry Durben,” Leist said. “Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the music, cars and community. Don’t forget to support our Coshocton businesses.”

Leist added that they are still expanding their ideas.

“We are also looking for groups who would like to join the event,” he said. “Possibly church groups that could do something like face painting for the kids. There are a lot of great people and local businesses that could donate door prizes, give away coupons, trinkets or whatever. Any Coshocton business can donate a door prize. We’re offering free vendor set on the court square and everyone is welcome to participate and bring their wares.”

Event forms are available on Facebook/Coshocton Community Cruise. Event registration begins at 5 p.m.

“We want to be a positive influence in the community,” Leist said.

The event will be sponsored by Jon Ianniello’s insurance agency.
